General Questions/New to Joomla! 5.x • Setting Up Outgoing Mail

I would like to set up my SMTP Outgoing Mail. My Joomla site is located within a folder on my domain. Is there any step by step Joomla documentation to set up STMP within the system. I have found the GUI to do this. But, it does not seem to work whenever I send a "Test" mail. I am using the template that was installed with Joomla.
